Job Role:
The candidate will work closely with Software Engineering and QA teams on the enterprise-wide distributed web system built entirely on the Microsoft platform utilizing the most current development trends and techniques to perform the following functions:
- Establish Configuration and Change Management plans, write processes and procedures.
- Maintain the development, testing and production environments, plan, manage and coordinate the build process while simultaneously ensuring a strict SDLC process.
- Take full ownership of the build environment and configuration management, drive the processes of installation packages creation, source code management, branching, build automation, regression / smoke testing and more.
- Deploy new applications and roll out changes to existing applications, update production configuration files manually or via scripting, perform data conversion required for upgrade as needed.
- Troubleshoot configuration and other problems with the newly released applications and assist in troubleshooting production problems related to the operations of the above applications
Skills Required:
- Strong understanding of the multi-tier web application design principals and operational environments.
- Experience in ANT, Maven 2, Subversion tools is mandatory
- Proficiency in scripting such as Perl, Bourne, Korn or C shell
- Knowledge of CM tools as applicable to the Microsoft development workspace. MS Build (including MS Build Extension Pack 3.5.2) is preferred
