Subscription management in Salesforce

Upgrade your subscription management

The software as a service (SaaS) industry is undergoing transformational change. In short, customers are becoming more accustomed to buying software and other services on a regular basis over all at once.

This new subscription model creates a steady, reliable revenue stream for SaaS providers (and many other companies) and helps them strengthen their relationships with customers, but only when done right. In the ideal situation, customers get billed automatically and can pay automatically, too. Companies completely control important parts of the process, like alerts, coupons, discounts, special offers, and more.

That’s where subscription management software comes in, and it’s not an easy thing to get right. Minor mistakes in the process can have major consequences, like a client ditching your service because of an incorrect invoice, or, even worse, your business not getting the money you’re owed for services because of a faulty billing system.

Systems like Salesforce takes care of its clients and has several options to choose from. Salesforce CPQ and Quote-to-Cash are great products for automated billing, but those one-size-fits-all solutions don’t work for all business. Chances are that these tools won’t meet all of your subscription management needs. That’s where iTechArt comes in.

What if CPQ is not a perfect match?

If CPQ or Quote-to-Cash work well but not perfectly for your company, our experts at iTechArt can give you a ready-made solution or we can build out a custom Salesforce solution that will harness the power of that platform for your needs.

As more and more startups have adopted or transitioned to subscription-based business models, iTechArt has built a wide range of customized subscription and recurring payment management solutions. Eleven James, a startup watch subscription service, worked with iTechArt to build out a flexible subscription system from scratch. The challenge was to create a single management system for all subscriptions, including sales, marketing, IT, and service teams. iTechArt automated marketing and sales subscriptions and optimized the inventory process so that the Eleven James team could both manage watch availability and ensure that the products were solid before being sold.

Eleven James

Consumers pay Eleven James monthly and receive up to four watch models throughout the year depending on their payment tier. Using iTechArt’s custom solution, the company was able to start a loyalty program that gave existing customers a discount for signing up new customers. The solution also involved discounts for customers who returned watches in good condition, and managed payments from start to finish. Read more about their experience here.
