Seeing the bigger picture in healthcare
Imagen Technologies is a healthcare company that provides a 360-degree patient view through accurate, accessible, and affordable medical image interpretation.
Though two-thirds of the world’s population lacks access to basic diagnostic imaging, the problem flew under the radar for decades — until New York-based healthtech Imagen saw an opportunity to correct it using AI.
By analyzing tens of millions of medical images, Imagen created once-unimaginable custom deep learning software that analyzes medical images and helps physicians instantly detect and distinguish medical conditions — with greater confidence and less operational complexity.
The further development of this unique solution required more experts that could provide insights into the best available technology. Impressed by the work we’ve done for healthtech startup Voro — not to mention our MVP-to-unicorn backing of Thirty Madison — Imagen chose iTechArt to join its in-house team.
Throughout the partnership, we introduced new web tools, scripts, and admin interfaces that helped Imagen’s research team handle the data labeling process without involving engineers — all to simplify radiology workflows and detect conditions faster. In parallel, we were able to modify the client’s computer vision system to expand the capacities of its existing offerings.
Excitingly, we were also instrumental in engineering some of Imagen’s medical devices that were involved in the largest premarket testing for the FDA in history.
Backed by iTechArt’s deliverables, Imagen has successfully taken major steps towards fulfilling its primary mission: expand access to high-quality primary care for underserved populations. Our leading-edge solutions enabled medical institutions to lower the total cost of care, streamline in-office operations, and drastically improve diagnostic accuracy.
Shortly after we partnered, Imagen also raised a $51M Series C, bringing its total funding to $111M.
