With an increased demand for 3D printing technology, the client was looking for a trusted technical partner to modify its printing software. The main challenge was establishing a 3D printing process with carbon fibers while also enabling the printer to seamlessly work with the rest of the system.

Solution

  • Created a custom module and user interface designed to manage the printing process through a Wi-Fi connection
  • Developed a custom module for managing printing through a web application (start printing, monitor status, etc)
  • Used AWS IoT to set up the printer/server connection, enabling users to manage the printer’s work

  • Enhanced the web application’s backend that works in-between the user interface and the 3D printer allowing for seamless control over printing
  • Fine-tuned 3D file-processing logic that enables high-speed printing with carbon fibers using corresponding settings, such as printing temperature, carbon fibers volume, etc.
