Equal Education is a nonprofit social enterprise working toward providing tutors for children with special educational needs to close the global attainment gap and help them get the education they deserve


As a social enterprise, Equal Education supports local authorities and schools by hiring qualified teachers as tutors and helping children improve their educational attainment. Whilst growing a lot in recent years, EE has reached the point where they needed one powerful and extremely flexible solution to connect and manage data painlessly. The client’s main goal was to automate the student-tutor matchmaking process and fine-tune their further collaboration, from setting up the first session to invoicing afterwards.

Following extensive research, Equal Education chose Salesforce as the core solution to streamline all processes in one system. But choosing a vendor was just the first step on their road to success; it was equally important to find the right CRM implementation partner, possessing deep tech knowledge and strong expertise in both educational and nonprofit domains. iTechArt fit the requirements perfectly and stepped in to build a nonprofit record management platform from scratch to meet the needs of Equal Education’s students.


Since the effective Salesforce setup takes time and thoughtful planning, iTechArt’s Senior Technical Consultant started with helping EE evaluate different types of Salesforce licenses to choose the most suitable one.

The next step was analyzing the client’s needs and choosing the right implementation strategy. To achieve these goals and guarantee the maximum value from Salesforce usage, iTechArt’s team worked in close collaboration with EE’s product owner and CEO. After two weeks of thorough planning, insightful sessions, and in-depth analysis, we created a Salesforce solution design document ensuring all that all of the client’s requirements were successfully met.

Once iTechArt’s consultant developed a detailed implementation roadmap, our engineers proceeded with tailoring Salesforce according to the EE’s specific business needs. The scope included the following tasks:

  • Create tailored and appropriate series of automated emails to keep stakeholders informed throughout different process flows
  • Set up several Salesforce Communities of EE’s partners, tutors, and students to monitor the needs of different user groups
  • Develop a personalized sign-in page for tutors where they can register and provide key details, such as specializations, address, and rates


  • Create a built-in Salesforce app to match students with tutors according to their location and students’ requirements
  • Embed Google maps to easily track and update location data
  • Integrate Xero software to make invoicing easier and faster
  • Add functionality designed to gather feedback from tutors, schools, and parents

Following the initial product release, EE plans to entrust iTechArt’s team with rolling out new features to improve and scale the current system.
